Noah Marks, AIA, NCARB is a practicing architect engaged in context-sensitive placemaking, planning, and building design.
He earned a Bachelor of Design in Architecture, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction from the University of Florida, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, with his thesis exploring the dynamic relationship between tradition and modernity through the mid-20th century.
A second-generation architect, Noah has long pursued design and drawing as a means of understanding. He developed a love for the architectural process and studio environment during his undergraduate years. Native to North Florida, Noah has an intuitive awareness of the environmental and economic forces that shape development patterns in the state - specifically Jacksonville where he resides with his family and teaches design courses at UF JaxLab.

Sarah Appleyard Marks is a registered architect and LEED accredited professional. She is a professor at the University of Florida JaxLab campus, teaching graduate design courses.
Over her ten-year professional career she has worked for various firms in Florida, including Gresham Smith and ELM, on projects in the commercial, health care, and institutional realms. Sarah has traveled extensively and has an interest in public spaces and cultural artistry.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Design, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction from the University of Florida, and earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida. She was awarded several scholarships, fellowships, and design awards throughout her academic career, such as the Foreign Language Area Study fellowship to travel abroad in Italy, appointment to UF’s first Solar Decathlon team, and teaching assistantships for design courses.
She and her husband, Noah Marks, have renovated two historic homes together, raise two young boys, and live in Jacksonville, Florida.
